A Mere Fragment of Time

"Remind yourself too that each of us lives in the present moment, a mere fragment of time: the rest is life past or uncertain future" - Marcus Aurelius. Walking through the Arch of Augustus, I stopped. Placing my hand on the ancient stone, I closed my eyes and tried to picture life in the time of Marcus Aurelius. Wishing somehow I'd open my eyes and have been transported back to ancient Rimini - what I wouldn't do for a TARDIS.

Being surrounded by ancient Roman structures puts into perspective just how short the mere fragment of time is that we exist in - don't waste a single moment.
